Blended Families

The most common negative influence affecting blended families are wounds that still remain from the past.

Often these wounds are masked by the excitement of meeting someone new and starting a new relationship.  Sometimes a couple will remarry during this time and the affects of the past wounds will resurface as the excitement of the new marriage fades.

This creates conflict and stress in the new marriage.  In fact, the divorce rate among second marriages is approximately 10% higher than first marriages.

In addition to the problems in the marriage there may be tension between new siblings and a lack of acceptance for the new step-parent.

Applied Wisdom can help bring healing to the past, sort out the emotions and perceptions of all the members, and help lay a solid foundation for the blended family to build upon.
